NXC (Not eXactly C) is what you’ll write your labs in. Use the link below to get started:

NXC Quickstart

Note: make sure you run BricxCC as admin

Mac OSX BricxCC “lite”: NeXT Command Center

Firmware Instructions

The labs were meant to be written in NQC. You can find the tutorials here:

http://bricxcc.sourceforge.net/nqc/doc/NQC_Tutorial.pdf

http://www.cems.uwe.ac.uk/~rwilliam/RCX/LEGO_mindstorms_RCX.pdf

http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~juliano/csci224/Slides/05%20-%20Intro%20NQC%20Code.pdf

If any of you are interested in working on your assignment outside of class, you can do so by downloading BricxCC (the software you used to program during labs).  Obviously you cannot test it on an RCX unit at home, but BricxCC can still be used to compile and debug your program prior to arriving at the lab.

BricxCC is available for download here: http://bricxcc.sourceforge.net/
